FISH TATTOO – The cute little dolphin in a sailor suit.
That’s the name of this little guy who’s caught on video in Hawaii on the tail of a tuna fishing boat.
“We caught him on a GoPro video on a beach,” said a local fisherman.
“It was pretty neat.”
And there’s not much more he can do than show his face.
“I just love it,” said Jeff Davis, who shot the video.
“The whole world knows who this is.”
Davis and his girlfriend were fishing at the Kohala Marina about a mile from their house on Friday afternoon when the dolphin showed up.
“He came out to us and looked like he wanted to talk to us,” Davis said.
I thought, ‘I want to do something with him,'” he said. “
That’s when it happened.
I thought, ‘I want to do something with him,'” he said.
The video shows a dolphin tattoo on Davis’ neck and on the back of his right hand, and Davis said he got the idea for the tattoo after seeing pictures of dolphins on the internet.
“There are lots of dolphin-themed tattoos and that’s one of the cool things about it,” he said, laughing.
Davis said it’s also a sign of the times.
“People in the ’90s were all talking about all these crazy things happening on the ocean,” he explained.
“Nowadays, everyone is just really, really focused on what’s happening on land.”
Davis said the tattoo was just a joke, but he hopes it sparks interest in dolphin-related topics and that people will give it a try.
“Dolphins are pretty popular and everyone loves dolphins,” he added.
Davis and other fishermen are hoping to find some dolphins to tattoo next.
“This is the first time I’ve seen a dolphin, and I’ve never seen one before,” Davis added.
“So hopefully this will be the first one of its kind.”
